Mr. Scott Zakheim, Analyst-Advisor, Commercial Partnerships and Strategic Communications, brings nearly 10 years of professional business development, strategic consulting and stakeholder relations experience to Vector Asset Management

Scott advises a portfolio of emerging and established marketing companies on their growth strategy and business development pipeline, as an Associate Partner with Landmark Ventures in New York City. Scott provides his clients strategic introductions to key Fortune 500 marketing-communications contacts, with whom he cultivates relationships on behalf of his clients. Scott”s introductions have enabled his clients to complete seven business development deals with major retailers and brands since mid-2011.

Scott’s work also includes identifying new, high-potential targets for his portfolio and managing the portfolio’s overall P&L.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as a strategic communications consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, primarily focused on strategic development, client stakeholder relations strategy, media relations campaigns, communication and various stakeholder outreach projects for major governmental clients including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. His additional experience includes directing the internal communications practice of Howrey LLP, and leading sustainable marketing efforts for Dannon Yogurt.

Scott holds an MBA from the Smith School of Business; while at Smith he worked within the Net Impact Student Group, the Smith/United Bank Leadership Development Program, and the School’s Center for Social Value Creation. Scott also participated in Smith’s Social Venture Consulting program, leading a strategic planning effort for Fathers and Families of San Joaquin, a nonprofit organization in Stockton, CA.

In his spare time Scott leads annual fund-raising efforts for the St. Baldrick’s foundation, a worldwide non-profit dedicated to eradicating youth cancer. Scott holds a BA from Columbia University.
